Sunday morning in Ithaca

 

This amiable fisherman emerged from the bushes a hundred yards downstream of where I was sitting on the river's edge.  He spent several minutes readying his gear and finally cast the line, which immediately got all tangled up in a tree on the opposite bank.  As far as I could tell, he accepted the setback with perfect equanimity.
